Bridges On The Tyne

NORTH TYNE - BUTTERYHAUGH BRIDGE

This bridge was built in 1962 and replaced a Bailey Bridge dating from 1955. It is reached down a short road leading from the main road before Kielder and gives access to a small housing estate and a school. After crossing the bridge the road continues into the village over another bridge. Forests dominate the area.
