SOUTH TYNE - FOOTBRIDGE TWO

A second footbridge between Bleagate and Garrigill, on a footpath branching off from the South Tyne Trail crossing to Low Houses Bridge and Middle Houses, settlements on the north side of the river. The bridge is near Garrigill and is reached down a slope from the minor road going west from the village to the road junction at Leadgate and is called the Rec. Bridge as it gives access to the recreation ground. The river bed is pebbly and the countryside hilly, with sheep grazing along the riverbank.
