Bridges On The Wear

HEATHERY BRIDGE

Down a steep path near Lanehead on the A689 this bridge gives access to fields and some buildings on the hill to the south. Close by is the impressive stone Heatherycleugh Bridge over the burn of that name which flows into the Wear from the north. Moorlands rise up on either side of the river valley.
