Bridges On The Tweed

MERLINDALE BRIDGE

This bridge at Drumelzier carries the first classified road (B712) to cross the Tweed. There are some cottages on the west side and wooded hills across the valley at both sides. The Tweed turns south from here towards its source.

This is a peaceful spot where the more remote regions of the Tweed valley are left behind when travelling downstream.
