Bridges On The Tweed

CROWNHEAD BRIDGE

A modern bridge south of Stobo carrying the B712 road west of Peebles this bridge is at a low level and replaces an earlier bridge of 1913-1921. It was built by Borders Regional Council, Engineer R.I.Hill; Edmund Nuttall Ltd. contractors. There are woods on either bank and Dawyck House and Botanic Garden is nearby.
