TWIZELL FARM FOOTBRIDGE

Near Twizell Farm off the Ponteland to B6524 road this is an all timber replacement for an older footbridge built in 1949 which had 3 spans with a reinforced concrete deck on concrete piers. It is on a public footpath from Twizell to Kirkley March and/or Ogle and is close to the Ogle Burn. The river is wooded to the north and south of the bridge.
