EAST HARTFORD STEPPING STONES

At East Hartford 18 stepping stones provide a means of corssing the Blyth and was once the location of a ford. It is reached from Bedlington by going down Church Lane for about a mile and was once the site of Humford Mill. The river could be forded nearby, hence the names Hartord and Humford.
