Bridges On The Blyth

BRADFORD SHEEP BRIDGES

These two bridges are located on farmland between Bradford and the A696 and are constructed so as to allow sheep but not larger animals to cross. They have rails not only on each side, but also over the top and railway sleepers form the deck. The most easterly shown in the bottom two photographs is located very near Bradford Bridge East and the lower picture shows the construction of these bridges.
